What Exactly Is This Site?

Welcome to the official homepage of Russell Jamal Kasem. I started this webpage way back when I was in only sixth grade. Back then the page had little to no meaning and was only sprouted due to a moderate interest in computers and web programming. The site back then was extremely simple since my knowledge of web programming was limited. Some many argue that my knowledge in web programming is still limited but that doesn't stop me from trying to advance the site and it's content

Way back some would argue that there was no real content on this page but now that argument has changed quite a bit. Being a college student I have found it incredibly helpful to have a website (such as this) to use as a form of e-resume. This site allows me to give an employer a website to goto when they want to know a thing or two about me.

So, That being said! This website will function as my one-stop, go to place for all information about me. It will serve as a more professional, pseudo Facebook. So take a look around, if you like what you see, head over to the contacts page and offer me a job. No, really, offer me a job! Additionally, I will use this site to document my daily tasks and thoughts; This will be done through blogs and photo albums.

Update Schedule,As If There Is One!

This website is really important to me and I have a lot of interest in keeping it update with blogs, photos and schedule information. Here's the problem! I'm a college student, a really busy college student. So realistically, I will probably update this site once a week, if that.

Information Regarding Summer of 2009

Unlike this previous two summers ( 2007, 2008 ) I will NOT be marching with Carolina Crown. I simply could not scrounge up the funds to pay my corp fees. Instead, this summer I will be working with Box 5 Productions, a production company that covers various drumcorps through out the summer months. This is a great opportunity for me, not only do I get to work around the drumcorps activity but I will get paid enough to march my age out season with Carolina Crown in 2010.

Through out this week ( May 19th ) I will be placing contact information on my contacts page. Seeing that I am not marching, I will have a lot more time during the day then the typical marching member. I will always have my phone on and in my pocket, I may not always answer!

Still A Work In Progress

This website is still very deep in the "beta" phase. By no means should the information on the site, currently, be used for reference purposes. I am still working on getting all my PHP code and XHTML to play nicely together. A lot of information is simply filler, for now.

This summer I will NOt have access to a computer with the coding software I use ( Coda ). Keeping that in mind, This site won't be usable for the intent that I have until late fall 2009.
